Precison Brush - Open Wound Coil Brush

Precision Brush Co manufactures open wound coil brushes, sometimes also referred to as open coils, open cylinders or open spiral brushes. The process for making these style brushes is to wind a straight strip brush onto a shaft, resulting in a closed coil brush. We then secure one end and pull the other end opening the brush spirals to the appropriate lead. This stretching process also shrinks the ID down to the correct size. The length of the strip brush can be as small as only a few inches up to hundreds of feet long.

Open Wound Coil brushes can range from about a 1"" brush face up to more than 10 feet long. The outside diameters can range from about 3/4" up to over one foot. Our custom design sheets make it easy to design a brush and our unique quoting system enables us to quickly update and develop new pricing.
