Inside Disk Brush
Inside disk brushes are very similar to inside coil brushes except they are comprised of just a single disk.
These specialty brushes start out as a straight strip brush. Using our custom brush manufacturing machinery, we wind the straight strip brush into a wound cylinder shape and then flatten it into a disk.
As with all our brushes, their use is limited only by your imagination. That said, one common industrial brush use for the inside disk brush is with a moving shaft. If you want to keep spray or debris on one side of the moving shaft, an inside disk brush is a good way to create a seal, especially if there’s a little bit of unevenness in the surface of the shaft (such as from rivets, bolts, or surface contours). A fixed rubber seal will wear out more quickly and leave gaps, allowing spray or moisture to escape.
Sometimes inside disk brushes are also used to clean or prepare a shaft that is being pushed through the brush.
